Interests, Activities and Benefits enjoyed by Club Members

Monthly Meeting on the second Thursday of the month at the Myrtle Beach Golf and Yacht Club beginning at 7:00 pm.  Meetings include:

• Potluck dinners, raffles and prize drawings

• Signups for monthly species fishing contests (club members only)with good cash payouts

• Opportunity to meet with other anglers and arrange trips, check locations, etc.

Monthly meetings include guest speakers, several from DNR, local guides and charter captains; tackle education and technique sessions and general fishing  updates to major fishing locations in the area.  In addition, we send out a monthly newsletter to members only with announcements, fishing trips/info, items wanted and available for sale, etc.

Monthly fishing contests targeting specific species for club members only along with a fall, all-species fishing tournament for club members only.

The Club sponsors the annual Open Flounder Tournament held in Murrell’s Inlet in the spring as well as a catfish tournament for members only.

The club is active with family socials supporting two fish fries, a summer club picnic and a Christmas party.

Everyone has a chance to be an active part of an organization that supports Conservation of marine life enhanced fishing opportunities through financial support of various reef programs and financial support to local students through a Marine Science Scholarship Fund established for local students attending CCU.

This and additional fishing opportunities are available for annual dues of only $40.00 for the full year, prorated during the year.

Located on route Route 707 west of Murrells Inlet, off of Bay Avenue in Socastee;
take Bay Avenue (south) and continue on, bearing right at the fork.  
At the Myrtle Beach Golf and Yacht entrance, take a left and check in with the
guard for the location of the community association building.See you at our next
